Membership Information
DECA utilizes online membership reporting for all of its state associations.
Online Membership System
DECA's online membership system offers features for chapter advisors including:
- Drop-down menus now allow navigation of the system on any page.
- Invoices are automatically e-mailed to chapter advisors and state/provincial advisors (opting in) so there is no need to download it.
- Chapter advisors can now indicate the number Dimensions copies they would like in efforts to be environmentally friendly.
- New chapters will be approved by DECA and the state/provincial advisor before they are created.
Many of you are anxious to add members to your roster now that school is in session, and our new system will make it easier than before. Instructions are embedded in the system to walk them through the process. Please remember that you need to ensure accuracy of spelling and gender of all members as this system is used for many components. Furthermore, please remember that adding membership continues to be a two step process: the members are added and then they all must be submitted.
To login, simply visit http://www.decaregistration.com/hs and enter your information as requested on the screen. If you were a chapter last year, simply login using your First name space Last name as their username and Last name as their password.
YOUR CHAPTER HAS A NEW ID NUMBER
Below is a file that contains all of current Minnesota chapters that are registered in the online membership system. It contains old chapter ID number and also the new chapter ID number.
The new number consists of a two digit number to identify your chartered association a hyphen and then a three digit number which is the designation for their chapter (01-123).
Once each member and advisor registers they will receive a unique four digit number that will be added to the association-chapter number, giving each member a unique 9-digit membership number. These numbers will follow your advisors and students through to our online registration system for our conferences. Members cannot register in the online registration system for conferences unless they are submitted members (e.g. New York Experience, etc). A list of all submitted members will be viewed so they can choose who they want to register for a conference.
If you have any questions about the system, please contact us by calling (703) 860-5000 and asking for the data management department. We thank you for your patience as we introduce the new system.

Does your chapter run a school store?
School-based enterprises are effective educational tools in helping to prepare students for the transition from school to work or college. For many students, they provide the first work experience; for others, they provide an opportunity to build management, supervision and leadership skills. While some in the education community have only recently discovered the value of school-based enterprises, marketing educators and DECA advisors have used them as a powerful teaching tool for more than four decades. For more information, visit their website, today.
